From the Treatment Room: Commonly Asked Questions About Exilis

Here are a few of the most commonly asked questions about the Exilis procedure.  If there is something you’d like to know that is not included here, visit our Exilis FAQs page, or call us directly at (713) 783-2000.

What is Exilis?

Exilis is new technology that uses radio frequency for body and face contouring and tightening. It is also FDA approved.

How does Exilis work?

Exilis uses a device that liquefies fat and tightens skin at the same time. The client will feel a hot sensation most compare to the same feeling of hot stones, but nothing uncomfortable. After it has been melted, the fat goes through the lymphatic system, exiting the clients system.

What areas can I treat?

Almost all areas of the body can be treated. These primarily include: waistline, “love handles”, upper and lower abs, arms, thighs, hips, buttocks, face, jaw and neckline.

Are there any side effects?

Being that it’s a non-invasive treatment most clients don’t experience any side effects. Some clients may encounter redness in the treatment area or slight tenderness in areas treated on the face.

How long do my results last?

Current studies show that those who have had treatment over 2 years ago have maintained their results. Typically, once fat cells have been destroyed they do not come back. Although we can’t freeze time and avoid aging entirely, this procedure does make a noticeable difference for troublesome areas.
